I wouldn't consider furry conventions the center of, or the heart of the furry fandom. Infact, I know several furries who don't, or hardly attend them at all. It can be overwhelming, expensive, and exhausting going to conventions. While you get to see a lot of cool suits and people, there's a fair amount of cringe as well. However, many conventions that I've attended have been the most fun I've ever had in my life. There were many memories made at them which I'll cherish forever. Something about the chase- of riding the furry convention train that takes you all over the place, meeting new people, seeing new places and partying the entire time. Waking up in towering hotels after lavish parties, suiting up and going down to the lobby, talking with your friends and now the paparazzi wants photos of you. It's an alternative lifestyle that kind of reminds me of The Great Gatsby. I honestly don't know how long I can keep it up, but I really don't want to stop.

In the past, I've attended the following conventions:
- Texas Furry Fiesta
- Texas Furry Siesta
- StratosFur
- Alamo City Furry Invasion
- Midwest Furfest
- Furry Weekend Atlanta

I currently attend the following conventions if I can:
- Midwest Furfest
- Furry Weekend Atlanta
